Weekly ‘Anime Mix’ Enrolls in College Airwaves

Anime’s gone back to school! Astute students who have The U Network, a college television channel currently at 150 campus locations, can tune into Anime Mix, a weekly TV news magazine show that covers all things anime, thanks to independent manga publisher eigoMANGA.

The show’s innovative format combines anime music videos with coverage of live anime conventions such as Anime Expo, interviews with popular creators such as Jim Lee, and news about anime on both sides of the Pacific.

Anime Mix aired on local cable access in San Francisco for two years before going national. “We had a great fan base in San Francisco with our show, and we felt other people in the country would appreciate it as well,” says Austin Osueke, executive producer of Anime Mix and CEO of eigoMANGA.
